If there’s a destination in Negros Occidental that’s attracting a lot of tourists lately, it would have to be Don Salvador Benedicto. I remember some years ago, nobody really goes there to unwind. It’s a totally different situation right now. There’s an influx of cafés by the road, airbnb units and staycation villas like JOMAX PEAK. It was one gloomy afternoon when my sisters and I drove to the highlands as we got an invite to check out this new and deluxe place, the VACATION VILLA KM 55.

Para kanino ka bumabangon? 😍

Just over an hour drive from Bacolod City, the VACATION VILLA KM 55 is easily accessible both by private and public commute as it is located almost just along the main highway. Initially built as a private property, the owners decided to open it to the public as an Airbnb unit. If you are dreaming of living in a GLASS HOUSE, live that dream now by renting the entire villa for as low as ₱3,800 only! The price is a steal!

What makes the villa standout is its high-ceiling design with glass walls. It is a 2-story property with the living room and dining areas occupying the ground floor and the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The master’s bedroom welcomes you with a magnificent view of the highlands seen through its glass walls from all three corners. This is one of the dreamiest rooms I have stayed during my travels. Imagine waking up to either a foggy morning or the sunlight kissing you with its warmth. Pag walang dyowa, wag na po mag-ilusyon ha? Matakot ka pag may humalik na lang sayo dun! HAHAHA!

The veranda is a great spot to just relax and embrace nature. Instagram na this!

The master’s bedroom is the selling point of this villa.

How about this for your bedroom? Perpekto!

The villa looks equally stunning at night!

from Bacolod City

* Head on to Bacolod South Bus Terminal and get on a bus bound for San Carlos City via Don Salvador. Fare is around ₱100/way.
* Tell the driver to drop you off at Kilometer 55. Alight just a few meters ahead of SALVIO’S CAFE & RESTO and to your left is where Salvio Vacation Villa is located.

The following are included once you book a stay in the villa:
Hot and cold water dispenser
Cable TV
Outdoor kitchen with cooking utensils and traditional uling stove and Barbecue grill

** SALVIO’S CAFE & RESTO near the villa serves and delivers food straight to your room!

The staff can assist you in a guided tour to a river by the tunnel just 20 minutes away or you may opt to hike one of the breathtaking peaks in Negros, the Mayana Peak. You may also want to check out Jomax Peak and enjoy the view of Kanlaon and Malatan-og Falls while enjoying their unlimited coffee!

Also check out Salvio’s Café and Resto just a walking distance from the villa. Not only do they serve nice food, the property also has a mountain villa! It can accommodate 5 guests at 2,500 on weekdays and 3,000 on weekends.

You may also hold social gatherings here or even prenup photoshoots! We played around and tried to do a pseudo-prenup shoot. haha!

The whole villa can be rented for only 3,800 weekdays and 5,000 on weekends. It can accommodate a maximum of 10 additional guests. Please note that there’s only 1 queen size bed in the masters bedroom and 2 single beds with an extra mattress in the other room. Extra beds will be charged at 200/bed.
